Terms of Service

VerifyRemote is a company-verification platform that helps job seekers assess whether a company is legitimate before applying for remote roles. It is not a job board and does not facilitate hiring or employment.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory or fraudulent reviews or reports.
• Impersonate a company, person or affiliation you do not have.
• Submit spam, advertising or content unrelated to company legitimacy.
• Attempt to manipulate Trust Scores or abuse the claim process.
• Scrape, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.

Reviews and reports must reflect your genuine, first-hand experience. Reports may be reviewed by our moderators. We may remove content that violates these Terms and, where appropriate, suspend or terminate the accounts responsible.

To claim a company you must verify ownership using a work email on the company’s exact domain. Personal email addresses are rejected. Claims are approved by our moderators, and submitting false claim information is a violation of these Terms.

Trust Scores and verification badges are automated, informational signals derived from verification status and community input. They are not guaranteesof a company’s legitimacy, safety or conduct. Always perform your own due diligence before applying to a role, accepting an offer, or sharing personal or financial information.

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By posting, you grant VerifyRemote a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute that content as part of operating the service. You are responsible for the content you publish.

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these Terms or harm other users. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that listings, Trust Scores or user content are accurate, complete or current.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VerifyRemote is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decisions you make based on information found on the platform.

VerifyRemote is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any company listed in the directory. Company names and logos are the property of their respective owners.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
